Juan Cruz has makes a new work describing a journey in aural and written form. Interspersed amongst almost topographic descriptions are a number of asides: about points of departure and arrival, the Duende, social democracy, landscape, site-specify, subject matter, theatre and fishing. Juan Cruuz was born in Palencia, Spain in 1970. He studies at Chelsea College of Art. Solo exhibitions include: John Hansard Gallery, Southampton; Kettle’s Yard, Cambridge; Matt’s Gallery; Genesta, London, and Translating Don Quijote, Insituto Cervantes, London. He is Artist Fellow at Kettle’s Yard, Girton College, Cambridge and recipient of The Paul Hamlyn Foundation Awards for Artists.
