For Mathilde Rosier's first solo exhibition in the UK, she transforms Gallery 3 into a series of rooms, bringing together paintings, sculptural assemblages and film.

This specially constructed environment evokes the journey between conscious and unconscious realms, with the motif of the bed representing a threshold to buried psychic states. The installation was influenced by Sigmund Freud, Jean Rouch’s 1955 film Les Maîtres Fous, and Howard Carter’s excavation of Tutankhamen’s tomb.

On the opening night of the exhibition, there is a performance by Rosier, in which participants are invited to wear masks and become part of a mysterious ritual ceremony. These masks then form part of the exhibition.
